Shinny is the co-founder of the Collective Arts Events (now Blue Raincoat Collective), Brunei's first creative industries social enterprise. The collective has to date run about 100 projects that support the local creative industry and various social cause giving particular focus on freedom of speech through art culture, gender equality, animal rights, environmentalism.
Shinny is also the co-founder of digital platform Community For Brunei, the first national digital CSR platform backed by Brunei's National Bank (BIBD). Aimed at uniting social causes across the nation and providing a crisis platform for NGOs and Small Businesses, to date the platform has raised over $40,000 in funding for various social causes and helped over 130 small businesses digitalise during the pandemic as well as being recognised globally with two international awards; the ASEAN Business Awards in 2021 Winner for Brunei Special Award: Emerging Social Enterprise and the Global Finance & Review Award 2020 Winner for Best CSR Bank project as well as being nominated for Shell LiveWIRE Top Ten Innovators (TTI) Awards as a Top 21 Global Finalist n 2020.
She is also the recipient of the 2018 RiceBowl Awards’ Founder of the Year, and recognised as a Top 20 Social Entrepreneur in Australia and ASEAN by the Australian Government in 2020 as part of the ASEAN COLAB program.
