Dina Yahya
Head of Brunei Climate Change Secretariat (BCCS)
Dina is currently leading the Brunei Climate Change Secretariat, based at the Ministry of Development. The first 12 years of her career was with the Ministry of Energy in which she started off with sustainable energy until assuming the role of the Head of International Affairs. She has been instrumental in shaping Brunei Darussalam’s climate change institutional framework and the country’s first climate change policy – the Brunei Darussalam National Climate Change Policy.
Dina graduated with a BSc in Sustainable Development from Murdoch University, Australia and MSc in Energy Policy from the University of Exeter, United Kingdom. She was also an US-ASEAN Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the Joint Program on the Science and Policy of Global Change at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, United States of America.
